Newsletter Week 9 Term 4

Hi all,
Wow! It is hard to believe that we now only have 2 weeks of school left! Thanks for ensuring all your child’s clothing is named as this has made getting ready for swimming much easier.

FAREWELL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
This Friday, there will be a farewell assembly for the staff who are leaving Fendalton at the end of the year. We (Room 2) will be performing a short item to say goodbye to Kirsty and to wish her good luck at Cashmere next year. It would be lovely to se those who can make it.

CAROLS BY TWIGHLIGHT
This is this Thursday 9th December at school. Bring along a picnic dinner and some Christmas attire (optional of course!) to the area by the big tree from 5pm onwards.
The Junior Team will sing some Christmas carols at 5.45pm in the new lunch area in the Junior playground. So, bring along some Christmas attire and join in with the festivities! We look forward to seeing you all there.
CATHEDRAL SINGING
This in on Thursday 17th December at 2pm. We will leave school at 1.30pm. It will be great to see you and any Grandparents or other family members there!

READING PROGRAMME
This will be our last week of our reading programme. I would love to take this time to say a HUGE thank you to Angela House who has religiously put the mountains of books away each week. We really appreciate the time you have given to do this Ang! Thanks

CAKE STALL FUNDRAISING
Thank you all so much for you wonderful support with our cake stall on Friday. We managed to raise $413.00! This money will go towards a new sunshade for the playhouse area. We will be talking to the P.T.A tomorrow night to see if they are able to help with this project too.
We couldn’t have done this without your help especially Katrina Dunn who set up the stall and Mila Vevey who stayed to help ALL DAY!.
Thank you so very much for supporting our learning here at school.
You are FANTASTIC!

BOOK AMNESTY
Keep those books coming on in to school! Have a hunt around home for any that might have strayed they can turn up in the most peculiar places! They cost around $6 each, so it is great if they can come back as it helps us to purchase more new titles.

CHRISTMAS SHARED LUNCH
We are going to have a Christmas shared lunch on Wednesday 15th December at 12.30pm as a final fun lunch for the children. If you could bring along a named plate of food for this, it will be greatly appreciated. Try to include some yummy healthy options too. If you want to join us for this lunch you are most welcome.

Well I think that is it for now…

Paulette and Kirsty
